Shredder is a music practice tool built by Graylight Creative and operated under NextGen Noise. When you use Shredder at shredder.nextgennoise.com, you are interacting with NextGen Noise services. This policy explains how we handle your data.

2. WHAT WE COLLECT

We collect only what we need to run the service:

• • Account data — your email address and display name, collected when you register through NextGen Noise.
• • Usage data — songs you process, practice sessions, feature interactions, and Spark balance.
• • Audio content — YouTube URLs or audio files you submit for processing. We process these to generate stems and do not store original audio longer than necessary.
• • Technical data — IP address, browser type, device info, and access logs for security and debugging.
• • Payment data — handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.

3. HOW WE USE YOUR DATA

• • To operate the app — process audio, track your Sparks, save your vault.
• • To improve the service — understand which features get used and where things break.
• • To protect the platform — detect abuse, fraud, and unauthorized access.
• • To communicate — essential account notices (no marketing spam unless you opt in).

4. SHARING YOUR DATA

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:

• • Stripe — payment processing
• • Infrastructure providers — hosting, database, and CDN services necessary to run the app
• • AI audio services — stem separation providers that process your audio files under data processing agreements
• • Law enforcement — only when legally required

5. DATA RETENTION

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. Processed audio files are deleted from our servers within 30 days of processing. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing [email protected].

6. COOKIES

We use cookies for authentication (to keep you logged in) and session management. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. No third-party ad networks have access to your browsing on our platform.

7. YOUR RIGHTS

Depending on your location, you may have rights including:

• • Correction of inaccurate data
• • Deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
• • Portability — export of your data in a machine-readable format
• • Objection to certain processing
